Most current BDI designs have a link on their individual Web page on the BDI Web site, where you can download a copy of the Assembly Instructions (look for the 1-2-3 logo on the right-hand side). Why might my wood finish appear different than it did in the store? BDI’s designs which feature wood are constructed of natural wood and wood veneers. Wood products, by their very nature, will sometimes have variations in finish and wood grain from one piece of furniture to the next. This is to be expected with any wood product, and this variability is part of the natural beauty of the product. Are wood finish samples available? BDI makes wood samples available through authorized dealers and can supply single samples on request. Please contact your local dealer to view the full range of finish samples. Can BDI customize a product to my exact specifications? Unfortunately, BDI does not currently offer customization and cannot accommodate individual requests for size, finish or material modifications. How can I become a BDI Dealer? Home Theater Furniture How do I choose the design that is best for me? BDI Home Theater Furniture designs are available in a variety of styles and sizes to fit most applications. To narrow your search, please compare dimensions and specifications on all models, or search for the models that are recommended for your TV size and type by viewing our BDI Model Selector. For personalized sales assistance, please visit your nearest BDI dealer who is best equipped to discuss the BDI options that are available to you. How much weight will a specific model hold? Each model’s Web page lists BDI’s recommended TV size range and weight capacities; these are somewhat conservative guidelines. With TVs, you generally want to consider the aesthetics of the TV on the stand to see if the unit looks “right” before you worry about the weight. That is, if the desired TV appears top-heavy, or overhangs on each side of the stand, we recommended that you consider a larger-size BDI model. BDI models are sized to accommodate most A/V components (DVD player, A/V Receiver, etc.). Refer to the listed frame opening, shelf depth and shelf capacity to determine if the BDI stand you are considering will accommodate your system. What do I do if a shelf arrives broken or scratched? Every effort is made to provide you with a well-packaged, high-quality product. If one of your shelves arrives cracked, chipped or otherwise damaged, please contact the Dealer from whom you purchased the product. Please be aware of the prevailing industry standard with regards to scratches and minor imperfections in commercial glass: If the imperfection is not visible to the naked eye from three feet away in regular lighting conditions, then it is considered acceptable. Can I purchase an additional shelf for my BDI stand? If you would like to purchase an additional shelf for a BDI stand, please send an email to BDI at customerservice@bdiusa.com. Please specify the exact style and model that you have. We cannot always accommodate these requests, but we will do our best to meet your need. How much assembly is required? Most BDI Home Theater Furniture designs ship flat and are ready to assemble (with the exception of our cabinets, which ship almost fully-assembled). All models are engineered to assemble quickly and easily, normally within 30 minutes’ time or less, and most include any required tools. How do I clean my BDI Home Theater Furniture? All glass shelves and tops can be cleaned with glass cleaner. Wood and steel parts should be cleaned with a slightly damp (not saturated) clean, cloth towel. Mirrors Are BDI’s mirrors tempered glass? No. Mirrors constructed of tempered glass would have significant distortions in the reflection. What are the specific dimensions of a certain BDI mirror? All mirror dimensions can be found on the individual mirror’s web page. How do I hang my BDI mirror? All BDI mirrors are shipped with hanging instructions and hardware. In many instances a hanging template is included as well. All mirrors with shelves hang on two points for added security. What should I do if my mirror arrives broken or scratched?
